At the matinee excerpts from the 1980 video "and then I've always been waiting for this cake" by Friedrich Kelm and Martin Koerber are shown, in which Hilde Rubinstein reports about her life and connected with excerpts from her works and accompanied musically.

A short biography Hilde Rubinstein:
Born in Augsburg in 1904 and died in Gothenburg in 1997, painter and writer Hilde Rubinstein spent part of her childhood in Linden.
From 1921 studied painting in Cologne, Weimar and Düsseldorf, starting from the mid-1920s her writing begins. 1929 Member of the KPD. End of 1933-1935 imprisonment for "preparation for high treason". 1935 exile in Sweden. 1936 Journey to the Soviet Union, in Moscow 10-month imprisonment, after discharge escape to Sweden. In 1982 for a few years return to West Berlin. Exhibitions u.a. in Stockholm, Cologne and Berlin. Author u. a. from dramas, essays, novels and poems.
